Deciding to succeed in 2023

As we approach the start of 2023, it's natural to start thinking about resolutions and goals for the new year. But before we can set those goals, we need to make a decision about what we want to achieve - success!, if you ask me. This first decision is to commit to success, and this can be a powerful tool that can help us achieve our goals and reach new heights. Once you've made the decision to succeed and identified your goal, it's time to set a target. This has to be specific, measurable objectives you want to achieve. In order to really succeed, you need to have a vision of what you want your life to look like in 2023 once you've achieved your goal. This is where things get a little more abstract, but it's an important step in the decision-making process. Imagine that you've achieved your goal and you're living the life you've always wanted in 2023. What does that look like? How do you feel? This kind of vision can serve as motivation and help you stay on track when things get tough (because let's face it, they usually do before they get better). In terms of our health, success is all about finding balance and making healthy choices on a consistent basis.
This means finding ways to incorporate physical activity into your daily routine, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, and taking care of your mental health. It's important to find what works for you and to be consistent in your efforts. One key to success in both business and health is to have a positive attitude and to focus on the progress you are making rather than dwelling on setbacks or failures. It's also important to celebrate your victories and to reward yourself for a job well done. Now that you've made the first decision to succeed and you've got your goal, target, and vision in place, it's time to take action. This means making a plan and breaking it down into smaller, more manageable tasks. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, your plan might include going to the gym two or three times a week, eating healthier meals, and tracking your progress. Your target might be to lose 9kg in the next six months.
If your goal is to grow your business, start by identifying one area to focus on and take actionable steps to improve it. Maybe it's increasing your social media presence, or improving your sales process. Whatever it is, focus on making progressive success in that area before moving on to the next. Setting a target helps you stay focused and gives you something to work towards, but simply setting a goal and target isn't enough, but with a little bit of planning and determination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to in the new year. So. this might be the year you finally learn how to play the spoons like a pro, or learn how to swim, drive, or learn that new programming language, or simply get involved in your own life. If you've always wanted to start your own business, this might be the year to turn that dream into a reality. Start by researching your market, developing a business plan, and identifying potential customers. Whatever it is, make a plan and stick to it.
There are endless possibilities when it comes to setting goals for 2023. No matter what your goals are, as stated in the book, the most important thing is to commit to making progress and to be consistent in your efforts.
